Well, I decided that after getting rid of three Ford trucks in the past 4 years I decided that I would invest in another. I found a 1990 f-250 with a 302 and 4x4. The dealer is asking $1995 which I know is as cheap as it gets but there are some problems. The 4x4 indicator is always on, even in 2wd mode but it seems like the front shafts also turn no matter what. I don't have another truck to see if this is normal or not but I am not to worried because I can unlock the hubs and run it in 2wd... Has anyone ever come across this before and is there any harm in doing this? The transfer case seems strong and there is no slippage in the trans. All the u joints seem tight and it only has about 125000 miles. It does show all the classic fender rust but the two gas tanks seem sound.
The front leaf springs are flat, for some reason I though that they were supposed to have a curve in them... Any suggestions?
