anyone hear of this? Its a filter for a CAI that doesn't use oil, and is suposed to filter better than the oil filters.
I was thinking about buying an AEM CAI with the dryflow for my mazda3 ( i know i probably won't notice a big difference, but I like the sound and it might give me a few more peak hp.. i do spend a lot of time up there at the redline, lol) so basically wondering if anyone has any experience good or bad with the dryflow specifically, not looking for a debate/flame war on cai vs stock.
I installed the aem oil free filter on my k&n intake on my 04 4.0, it works great, no problems so far. Also have an aem cai on my 06 focus st, it was good for 6 hp at the wheels with no other tunning. AEM makes a good quality product, better than alot of them that I have messed with. If your mazda 3 has the 2.3 duratec, it will benifit from an aem cai instead of that unservicable bread box that they call an intake. Big gains to be had from a header as well, but emisions can hamper you, as you will loose a cat. Check out www.cosworth.com
