I just received my Globalsat BT-359W Bluetooth GPS receiver today. It uses the new SiRFIII chip, which is supposed to have improved performance. A friend of mine has a Holux GPS receiver that uses the SiRFIII chip, and he says it will lock in on a plane, without being next to
the window.
I did some tests, with my DeLorme Bluelogger and the BT-359W units in the same location inside my house. Bluelogger only locked on 4 satellites, the
BT-359W locked on 7 satellites, and was receiving signal from 2 more:
