thanks for the link. very interesting. i dont know how much recourse one would have though after 10 to 15 years of driving.
manufacturers do these so called "silent recalls" all the time. my wife's 02 caravan had developed bad spark plug ping at 30k. brought it into dealer and they said "oh ya, we have a tsb on that it'll be fixed for free".
i can understand this as these recalls cost manufacterers millions.
