ABS sensor problems, might be serious

ABS sensor problems, might be serious

Just took out the ABS sensor on the differential off my 97 expy and there is like two little mangets. Don't know if this is suppose be one magnet and it broke into two pieces. I can't get the bottom one out of the [font=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][font=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]differential[/font][/font]. Needs some help!!

Don't know what happen there but I can't get one piece out of the differential.

you could knock it the rest of the way into the differential without damaging the exciter ring. then just pull cover and fish it out.

Are you talking about the cover of the differential?

Looks like you pasted your original post from a different thread. The word "differential" was a link, and the page didn't know what to do with it.

yes i was. my bad. this is about the only way i can think of. unless anyone else has ideas.

Thats what I figuered. A 15 minute job for me always takes me days to complete. I'm guessing that it will be a messy job afterall. I might as well change the gasket when I remove the cover will I'm there. Has anyone done this before. Is it oil or grease in there?

you need three quarts of 75-140 synthetis gear lube and clear silicone rubber for the gasket. scrape the old gasket off and clean and reseal. fill with fluid and be done.
