MPG computer above windshield
hey I don't know if mine is malfunctioning or whatver, but when I go to the mpg mode, it says 7.4 mpg, everytime, all the time and it never changes. Other people I know who also have SD Fords, say their MPG changes all the time, specially when they come to a stop, etc. My manual doesn't say anything about that. 7mpg cannot be right...

thanks, I'll try that when I get home. Doesn't it reset if you disconnect the battery? It's been stuck on 7.4mpg since I bought the truck over a year ago. New battery now, and I've had the 12v disconnected several times before that. But I'll try the reset and ee if it changes anything

I wouldn't count on that overhead console to tell you how much gas you are consuming. I have mine set on the ambient temperature display. At least that is a little more accurate. Besides, seeing the MPG's is kind of depressing. I would much rather enjoy my drive in the truck and not frown on how much it is costing me.
