Running Foglights without Headlights
Thank you!
Now I just need to check and make sure that 2005 is the same...
...if it is (light green/black wire) That is my next Mod!
Thanks again!

SUPER easy and fast, and really needed. I drive at night off-road, in the desert and all over baja a LOT...and was VERY frustrated at the stupid stock arrangement where the foglights cut out with high beams on
.I used a very simple approach, my EE dad would be rolling in his grave...perhaps...since he used to say the cheapest/fastest/easiest way to engineer something was the best...
I did this:
<IMG SRC="http://www.martialartsacademy.org/ex%20mod%20harness.JPG">
Located and cut #13, then used a solderless in-line splice to attach a length of 12 guage black wire, secured it with a red tie-wrap and fed it over to the grounding screws.
THEN...
<IMG SRC="http://www.martialartsacademy.org/ex%20mod%20ground.JPG">
Located the smallest diameter of the three grounding wires and spliced in my new wire with another identical in-line solderless unit.
DONE!
Took about 5 minutes...maybe... and only used wire cutters and pliers.
Since FORD itself has several identical crimp-on connectors installed from the factory under there, I figure mine are OK as well
.Thanks again, Tim, for the link to awesome article by Chris...what a fabulous bit of info to make such a huge perfomance mod with near-zero effort.
thank you thank you thank you...

over-sized wipers, proper "anytime" foglight switch modification...
It really does make a BIG difference running brights/fogs at the same time...
...especially when the fogs are up graded to uber-bright silver-stars

Do you have the automatic headlight "on -off" option on your EB?
Do you think your mod will work on 05 Limited EX 6.0 with the light on/off option ?
Thanks.
BTW: super job on the mod...
>Do you have the automatic headlight "on -off" option on your EB?
Yes.

Yes, I have a 2005 EX 6.0 with every Limited option, but with the EB color inside and out.
I have tested the function of the fogs/low/high etc using the "auto" setting and it works perfectly- you will have no problem.
Thanks.
BTW: super job on the mod..
You are welcome, I wish I had done it many desert/baja trips ago, it makes a HUGE difference...
