Cup holders

If your like me you'd like a cup holder in your truck, but can't stand the ugly aftermarket accessories and cluttering up your interior. I was at napa today and I was checking out thier new marine assortment (maybe a boating place would have the same thing) It was black plastic, but paintable, and the spring was stainless. When closed it was about 4" x 4" and stuck out about 3/4". The front flips down and the cup holder fips up, and it is adjustable for different size cups. I bought one for $4 and painted it gray to match. I stuck it on my door panel with double sided tape (I didn't want to drill holes right away) Might be an option for some of you. I'll let you know how it works out.

I enjoy trying to hold a big gulp in my crotch, whail still driving, and occasionally talking on a cell

I like thoose flip down ones, but I'd worry about the tape falling off with a big drink (not that anybody needs them bigazz ones anyways)

Great idea

My truck is a stick too so it makes it that much more fun. I put it on with the tape for now. If I decide I can live with it perminantly I'll put a few screws in.

our trucks already have cupholders

Our Trucks already have Cupholders.

Open up the glove box and you will see two round circles on the backside of the glove box, on the oposite side of the change holder.

those are the cup, or can of soda holders.

Actually they don't hold the can of soda, it's designed to be used to set drinks there though.

I wouldn't use it if the truck is in motion however, or at a more than flat incline.

Just some trivia there chaps.

I did find a cup holder that fits really well on my tranny hump with a T-18. It's small and only has the two cup holes and a small pocket in fromt for holding 3 cassettes or Cds or junk.

Can't find the small ones anymore. They were small and fit good. Only can find the bigger ones that don't fit anymore.

I use a coffee cup with the lid and a handle. I hang the handle over the column shifter, and let it dangle there at an angle. After the top 2" of coffee spills on my knee, I'm good to go. Another alternative is to put in modern seats with the center console built in.

I have a floor shift and a 4x4 shifter, so there isn't a lot of room for a floor console. It's not a bad idea though.

I got a 52oz. mug that's big enough to keep itself upright just sitting on the seat.

I was looking through either my LMC catalog or BOTP catalog. Can't remember which one. But,there is a set of door pockets in there that have a cup holder built in to the front end of them. Don't know how big it is. However, might be a viable option for you. I'm looking at ordering me a set as soon as my son gives me my truck back.

I have looked for cup holders to fit and haven't found any that worked very well. I dont want to get rid of my bench seat. Where would my dog ride? And don't tell me to make her ride in the bed. She thinks this is her truck. At least it is if you put your hand inside, count your digits good bye. I have a stick on the floor. Its hard to shift and drink coffee too. Let us know how the double-sided tape works. Please let us know. Thanks
