Need advice quick!
I'm looking at buying a 2001 F250 Lariat CC Flat bed 4x4. It has a 176,000 miles on it and it seems to run pretty good. It has a some pilar guages. During a 40 miles test drive the pyro never past 6 the trans temp went up to 180 when I got into town and the bost guage went to 17psi. The sterring is a little lose and the saleman told me it was ball joints. Is that very expensive? They are asking 10,999 for and I would end up paying about 15,000 for do to my upside downness of my other vehicle. Do you all think this is a good deal? Is there anything that I should look for? Oh yeah, it has like 4" or 5" TB exhaust.

Wow man, I see a "need advice quick" thread and I assume you have a Dodge or a Duramax and want to know where to get rid of it in a hurry. Grab that truck, that is a good deal. I have 180,000 on mine and it still runs as good as new. Ball joints are not a big deal and the steering box is an easy adjust if that is the problem.

If it's just ball joints, not too much$$, but if it's steering stuff could go way up. I just replaced all my steering (not BallJoints) with moog, $500, I did the installation.
If I remember the b-joints are about 150$ a side for parts only, proabably 3-4 hours labor.
That's still agood price but matbe you can get the dealer to fix it for cost or something, can't hurt to try.
Wait till the mod bug gets you, really big $$ (but fun)

Thanks! I bought the truck last night and I greased everything up and it seems to have helped quite a bit.

Good move in buying the truck. I suspect with the mods you listed in your first post the truck has been chipped. Look and see and let us know. Congratulations. With proper care that truck will be worth what you paid for it for quite awhile. It was not your new purchase's fault you got upside down on your trade-in.
