Speed Control = Cruise Control
What switch are you referring to, the 'Overdrive On/Off' switch at the end of the shifter stalk? Or are you referring to a control component inside the steering column?
From looking at the factory manual, I can't find any switches, other than the ones on the steering wheel, that relate to the cruise control anywhere near the shift stalk...

Thanks for responding. I am referring to the button on the end of the shift lever for the overdrive. Sorry about that, it's the overdrive button I need help with.
Any advice is certainly appreciated.

Ah! Easy as pie!
Gently work a thin screwdriver, or even the tip of a knife between the end cap and the shift stalk. The cap goes on kinda like a bottle cap, it just pops on and off. The O/D switch just slides right out after that cap is off.
