fuel leak?

Unhappy fuel leak?

i parked my truck facing downhill in my driveway two days ago and when i woke up in the morning. there was a puddle of diesel below the front end so far i really havent had time to look. not that i could find a leak if my life depended on it

Check everything from the inlet rubber line to the lift pump (bottom RH front side of engine) all the way around to the return line at the rear of the upper engine LH side.

Remember if you park it facing uphill it will drain the fuel from the IP and make for hard starts.

i did park it facing uphill for the next three days and there was no puddle from that thats really why im so confused its just weird

I had the exact same problem on my truck ('86 F250 4x4). It turns out that one of the metal fuel lines had rubbed against something and caused a pin sized hole. But fuel would only leak when parked down hill. The leak was found on one of the metal lines just after the nylon fuel lines end, and before the hard line goes into a rubber line that leads into the 'old style' water separator. I hope that makes sense. Good luck.
