Look out guys seems there are some shady locksmiths out there. I guess what they have been doing is parking next to trucks and then walking by and looking at the VIN. Then I guess from that they can make a key for it. A friend of mine caught someone looking in his windshield of his dodge the other day. He since then put a little piece of paper over the vin.

They actually write up tickets for covering the VIN up here in MN. Might be stolen don't ya know. So install a kill swich and alarm for those nice locksmiths.

There is NO correlation between the VIN and the key number. The only way for anyone to get the key code is to run an OASIS report on the truck at a Ford or L/M dealer. That will show both the key code, the keyless entry code, and any warranty history.

And you or your buddy know this was a locksmith how ?????
