im looking into getting a set of headers to accompany the mbrp exhaust i have on order. i came accross a set of hedman headers on summit that are in my price range and also include a new y pipe. anyone running a set of these or had any experience with hedman in general or just any experience with headers on the v10? i already have to work on the exhaust manifolds (broken studs on both sides) so i figured i should replace them while i was at it
No experiance with the V10 versions but I have used that brand in the past on V8 applications... they are about as good as any and better then some others
One issue I recall though was the bung for the EGR port on one set was not the right thread so I had to re-weld in a new bung. Minor iritation but no real big deal once I figured out the problem
yeah thats what i was thinking...plus the flanges arent one peice. they are broken up into a group of 3 and a group of 2, would probably take away from the chances of getting more broken studs..
if you can afford it.......... go BANKS and you'll never have to worry about cracking, flange warping, ect...!
BANKS are one solid flange 5/8" thick, thick wall 35mm tubes (or 38mm can't remember but there bigger than competitors), long tubes (or what they concider V10 long tube headers), and they have that "turbo nipple" at the end of the tubes, to "help stream line exhaust flow"! but if not, i would rate Gibson and Borla next in line from what i've heard.
