Sorry guys, been a little while since I have had time to flip around the site. I am considering putting the body of my 65 f-100 onto a Ford 65 4x4 frame that I have in the shop.
I realize that the front fenders are shaped differently to allow for clearances, and that the wheel base is also different.Since this will not be used to go up mountains is there going to be a clearance problem? Also can I slide my rear end back to allow for the box to line up with the wheel well?
What is your opinion? I always liked the 4x4.
Frank, Anything can be done with enough time and money thrown at it. Sorry to advise that your 4X4 is based on the 61-64 chassis and things will not bolt up.
If your sheet metal is really good, you might want to look at spending that effort on a much newer 4X4 chassis. just a thought
john is right about the 65 4x4 frame, they used the older style boxes. If I am going to upgrade my ride I may as well go with Doc and buy a donor truck 73 -79.
