shakes when brakeing sometimes
A friend of mine has an early 60's Ford 2wd truck. When he first hits the brakes at 40 mph they are smooth and no problems. The second time a little vibration and by the third time there is alot more, almost like warpped drums. If you hit the brakes real hard after the third or fourh stop you get a little vibration at first and than it is smooth. The suspension parts are all new and the brakes are non power. Could the pull back springs on the brake shoes be weak and over heating causing the problem? Wheel bearings are new. Shoes are new.If the drums are warpped I think you would have the problem at first stop. Any ideas???
