I need help! I have a 79 F-150 that has aprox 35K miles on rebuilt 351m. Just had new carb installed and when you step on the gas at any rpm it has a bad stall before picking up, otherwise runs fine. The new carb is a reman of the original 2V. Would like any help I can get.

What kind of carb? Make? Model? Number of barrels?
First guess is the accelerator pump shot is wrong. Probably not enough. Do you get e puff of black smoke out the back when you mash the pedal? If you do the engine is going too rich. If not then it's probably leaning out. Look down the carb throat and move the throttle linkage. You should see raw gasoline squirt into the primary barrels when you do that. It could also be that the accelerator pump linkage is misadjusted, or that the pump cam is worn.
