Vacuum system replacement components

Hey guys,

I'm looking for replacement vacuum components the truck has been whistling like crazy since i've had it. Problem is i can't find anything, just the vacuum can. Anyone know where I could find vacuum components for a 1978 Ford 300 inline 6, with a lead engine?

Whistling is usually caused by rotted out vacuum hose.

I suggest to replace the hoses first.

The first place they usually go is at the transmission of you have an automatic.

What emission parts are you asking about specifically ?

Get a can of carb cleaner with a wand ..and start the engine.

At idle, spray the cleaner toward any joints or connections of the vacuum lines and listen for a change in way the engine is running.

I assume you don't have any thermo-vacuum switches on that engine as you never mentioned them ?

Whistles are usually easy to find.
