Blown rear end?

I was doing burnouts in my truck when i heard a nice clunk noise.. so then the truck would only drive in 4hi and 4lo, so driving it back to my place the axles popped right off the truck and i removed the housing and the c clips, carrier piinon shaft thing and the gears right beside the C clips fell out. the clips were bent, the gears had 1 tooth chipped out of them. would i need a whole new rear end or just those parts?

If you tore all that stuff up I would replace just about everything in there! Some stuff that didn't break probably got weakened after all that abuse.

I'm with Tank on this one. I'd replace all the guts. We talking about a Ford 8.8 here?

The first "clunk" noise has me worried, especially with it only driving in 4hi or 4lo. Unless you mean the rear driveshaft was still spinning but the rear end was grinding, in which case it's just the rear end.

Here's a tip. Dont do burnouts.
