Carter AFB Carb.
Turn the screws in untill they seat lightly. Back out 1.5 turns. Set idle so engine will stay running but as low as possible. Next turn on screw in slightly ~1/4 turn if rpms come up keep going in until rpms drop then back out 1/4 turn. Switch to other side and repeat. If you find the rpms drop right away use the above proceder but turn out screws untill you find the max rpm.
It should be anywhere from 2.25 to 1.5 turns out.
After you've done both sides lower idle again and repeat it again. This will get you the closest to perfect.
Some guys use a vacuum gauge and turn for max vacuum aswell.
Note: When your done and idle is set shut off motor and look in to the thoat of the carb. You'll see just above the butterflies a very thin slice. this is the idle tranfer slot you should see .018 to .020 of an inch of this slot if you don't you need to have the carb modified. and that to long to post.
