Picked up truck on thursday after my second egr in less than 2 months (neither was "within parameters") but mech said were clean not dirty...anyways my question is (unless I'm delerious) its a different egr that sticks up out of the manifold about 2" with a big giant bar code sticker and an extra set of blue exposed wires...the original was closer to flush with the manifod- definatley "shorter"...am I crazy or whats going on?
Either way the truck is running better than ever...bad thing is it took half a tank to go 120 miles...not good.

Reason: spelling
I have tried about a dozen times to post various pics with no luck...I'll go try to see if it has a part number unless the invoice number works...which is 4C3Z-9F452-A...I also looked at a semi-friends '04 and its definatly not the same part (at least in height/Length)

Reason: wrong year
What was your truck doing that caused you to take it in ? I have various runing issues lately and thet keep changing the egr ( because they say it throwing egr codes?! - but it never improves ) Three times new egr, three times continued romps/bucks/surges/ poor mileage. Any guidance to take to dealer would help. Thanks.

This sounds like the infamous "wire chafe" issue. Find a good tech and he'll figure it out. There was also a TSB on this, I believe.
