Ok not too sure and after an hour of searchin Im still not sure...A buddy of mine wants to rip a 460 and super cooler radiator out of his 2 wheel drive camper special and put it in his Trailer special 4x4...2whl drive truck is toast.....Should I swap his D60 8 lug rear and spndles C6 tranny for my 5 lug FE stuff....Id like to maybe use this truck as a tow vehicle and maybe mod out the 390 thats currently in it...Thanks
Presuming the D-60 Eight Lug came out of an F-250 with a GVW under 6900# answer should be pretty much a yes. I'd include an adequate M-Cyl with that so larger brakes work right after the conversion.
If D-60 rear & spindles are from a donor truck with a GVW over 6900#, you probably will need to take Twin I beams set up from the front to get 8 Lug hubs/rotors up front. Some F-250 use larger/heavy Kingpins than others making the spindle only swap unworkable.
