i have a winch front bumper not sure who made it i would post a pic but i dont have a cam with me at this time. it's your basic black boxey heavy steel bumper with a winch mount spot in the middle, with the slotted opening, now my main question is.
does anyone know who makes a badass heavy rear bumper that isnt tubed steel? i owuld like a rear bumper like the front one.
it is similar to this one except the corners dont wrap around to the sides and it isnt diamond plate
or am i out of luck and just go with a heavy rear bumper
I hope you are using that truck/bumper in the photo for visual aid reasons. What kind of truck do you own make, model, year etc.
Most bumper companies are aimed to make bumpers for new model trucks.
Heavy rear winch bumpers are even rarer.
Most of them are one-off, custom made units. Most fabrication shops can handle this type of job, but it will be pricey.
Let us know what you have, truck wise so we can help.
Try other forums here at FTE- Off road/4x4 is a good place to ask too.
some one might have one for sale, all you have to do is ask around.
i have a '79 f-250 ranger 4x4 and yeah that is a referance photo but the front bumper on my truck is very similar to that one, it is welded to the frame not bolted so it was a hack job from the previous owner but i like the fact i can stand on it to do some work easily and sit on it and drink some brews without backing into a circle of trucks
i didint want to cross post and clutter the other forums, cause they would tell me to ask here to begin with.
You have a 4x4 right?
You can ask over there too.
Just don't post in the aerostar forum. etc. get it.
The guys in off road have good info and sources, they would probably talk you in to building your own.
Your truck is older and it will be hard to find a factory build unit.
Try a google seach- Trailready - they might have something there.
I went to check out the site. They have one for a newer superduty, try and email them about it. See if you can use it and/or see if they can provide a mounting system for you.
OR see if they can make a custom unit for you.
These look better than the old type of drop down chrome bumpers that were sold in the 80's and early 90's.
Trailready bumpers look like yours(similar at least).
