Hi,
We just purchased a one owner 1963 unibody custom cab that we plan to restore. Since this is our first classic truck most of the reference material we have are for passenger vehicles. Can anyone send me production numbers or a book I can get to give me such information.
Beauty! Wish I lived in California! Books on this truck and others of the same series are available here and some have had luck on e-bay. 61 through 66 are very similiar, with 65-66 having the Ford twin I-Beam front suspension. Keep us posted as you go along and Welcome!

Unibody tailgates and doors are unique to the unibody only. There were 40,535 "Integral Styleside" models made in 1963. There are many books out with info on these trucks; the one I used for the production figure is " Ford F100/F150 Pickup" by Robert Ackerson and Veloce Publishing Co. Get yourself a set of shop manuals, they will have everything you would want to know about your truck. The Unibodys are great trucks, and like all our 61-66 models, parts still are around and relatively cheap! Get 'em while you can!
I do hate to tell you that you have an incorrect grille. Your grille is from a 64.
The tailgate is not the only unique thing on these trucks. The doors are different as well. Yeah, the others will fit, but the charcter line will be all wrong.
I think we will see a lot more unibodies as hot rods in the next few years.
