Can anyone tell me if Trim 16 on the tag is a reference to the outside trim or the interior ? Is it a colour code or a level? (eg. base, delux, etc) We are looking at ordering seat covers and some of the interior soon and want to know what the propper colour was that went with the Vermillion Red paint.

My '58 M-100 has a Red & Black original factory seat cover.
The Red is on the border & the Black, which has a pattern on it, covers the main portion of the upper & lower bench.
One of the things that would greatly help is to Know what year truck you are asking about?
It really helps to have this kind of intel right off the bat, as it's been posted in a "Sticky" to Put the Year of Truck in the Header.
I have a Body Book here and the number 16 is skipped for some reason or another. It does however make reference to a lettered trim code for the 1950 truck, and that is the letters FA.
Look again on your V.I.N. plate and see if this does apply I can then look for the trim colour for you.
I am assuming this is a CDN. built truck. For what its worth to you either of the 4 colours, Red, Gray,Tan, or Black will go with your colour.
One other question, what colour did you paint your engine, if its a Flathead?
