I was just wandering if any one else's truck runs better on the stock setting then on the 60 horsepower setting with their evolution? Because mine sure does.
Ive used my evo on all of the settings. i dont really notice a difference except for the increase in power. i have heard of others complaining of the same thing though. im not sure why but each truck runs a little differently and reacts to tuners differently. my buddy had a superchips that worked great on his truck, but made my truck run like crap. i think it might also depend on what other mods you have done.
WELL MY TRUCK USED TO RUN GOOD, BUT A WHILE AGO i PUT IT BACK ON THE STOCK SETTING JUST FOR KICKS. nOW IT HAS TO KICK DOWN TO PULL HILLS WHEN IT IS ON THE 60 HP SETTING, BUT NOT WHEN IT IS IN THE STOCK SETTING. THE ONLY CODE IT HAS A (KAM) CODE.
the computer may have adjusted to it. reset the evo to run the truck on the stock program. disconnect the batteries and turn the head lights on to drain it out. about 15-30 minutes later re-attach them and see what happens with a tune in.
Well I unhooked the batteries and reprogrammed it. I am at work s I not sure if it fixed anything or not, but from just messing around in the parking lot I think it might of. I will see on my way home tonight if it did or not.
Umm, question......how did you turn on the headlights with the batteries disconnected? Are you using the headlight cue to kill the ECM's internal battery?
I don't doubt the proceedure, I am experiencing a loss of nut too.
