new problems after leaving maaco
hey guys i just got my 95 f 350 painted at a maaco. overall im very happy with the paint itself but once i payed my money and left i started noticing some problems. it would drive fine but it would seem to stay in 1st gear for too long and then slam into 2nd. as soon as it would slam, the o/d off light keeps blinking until i start the truck again (it wont come on if i dont go out of first gear). also i realized the milage odometer will light up, but not show numbers, the speedometer stays at 0.. and the interior lights wont come on at all. (i know for a fact that the fuse hooked up to the speedometer is out) but what could cause all the other problems. im thinking possibly maybe a wire that was unhooked/cut by the painters by accident or on purpose in order to paint something. i didnt have under the hood painted, so they couldnt have ruined anything under there. HELP!! please

I don't think this problem has anything to do with them painting your truck. I would get the truck scanned for codes and go from there. Check to see if the plug on the top of the rear axle is still plugged in for the VSS.

stuart u nailed it!!. today i threw one of those blue 15 fuses cuz the speedometer fuse was blown ( i got the fuse that lights up when it blows) and now all works GREAT and it looks GREAT thanks everyone
