I have a question about the adjustment of the shiftlever on a '66 cruise o matic When I shift from drive to park the lever wants to fall back to reverse. Also when starting the beast, I have to move the lever to as far up/left as it will go. I am guessing there is a position sensing switch that prevents you from starting in gear.
How would I adjust this? It appears as though I would have to do this either from the colum (inside the engine bay) or inside the transmition. Just not sure which. I want to be sure to start opening the right can of worms. I know that once I start I will have to replace alot of other things (thats just how my luck is). Knowing where to start I think will prevent 'ol Murphy thowing too many monkey wrenches at me while doing this.
