New Brakes

Hi. I would like to say "thank you" in advance for previous help I've received by just browsing. This is my first brake job by myself.
I did a search or two and did not find the answer to my newest minor problem/issue/concern.
First, I have a 1989 Bronco II, 4 wheel drive, manual hubs. I recently started a brake replacement in the front because I could tell that they were badly needed. Both rotors are being trashed. The passenger side is the worst. The driver side rotor isn't too bad but I figure I would replace both anyways and the driver side wasn't good enough.
So far I have only done the passenger side. I repacked the wheel bearings (everything looked good), put on a new rotor, replaced the inner lock nut due to the little pin being sheared off (driver side is sheared off also and the part will be here Tuesday), put on the new brakes, assembled everything, lubed the caliper pins and "V slots" that they slide in, etc., bottomed out the piston, and made sure I torqued everything to spec.
I put the wheel back on the passenger side and if I turn it, it will rub slightly after about 3/4 of a turn and then loosen up again. It is barely rubbing but enough to slow it down some. I am positive that it is the new brakes rubbing, but why only on part of it after 3/4 turn every time I rotate it? Did I not bottom out the piston enough? Could it be because both wheels are still jacked up off the ground? Is it not something to worry about until the brakes are broken in?
I have to wait on doing the driver's side until Tuesday when the replacement lock nut arrives. I'd like to know what might be wrong, if anything, before I tackle that other side so I can work on it over the weekend if need be. Please help and "thanks" in advance. Dan
