I just bought a set of gauges, one of which was a 4377 boost gauge. It is electric with three wires coming out of the back. The guy I bought them from has informed me that I can just splice these into the wires coming from the MAP sensor. I was wondering if anyone has done this? If so, which wires go where? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Yeah, not to mention it should have a boost tubing connector to measure the boost. I know there is a way around this but your sensor will be elswhere then. To what point? To see what the engine PCM sees?
HA, I'm idiot! Can't believe I forgot to put that it is an autometer gauge. It does not have a place to hook the tube up in the back of it that I can see. I'll see if I can get some pics of it. I thought that it was kinda weird that it would be reading the voltage, out of the MAP sensor, but thats the way it looks to me. Im gonna continue to search around and see what I can come up with and maybe just call Autometer to see what they have to say about it
I would call Autometer. In my experience with electric gauges, the wires coming out of the back typically go to a eending unit that is provided with the gauge. I've not heard of hooking the gauge up directly to a sensor that's already on the truck. Doesn't mean that it's not possible, I've just not heard of it.

Go to Jegs, site sponser, they have replacement senders and wiring harnesses. I would not hook it in series with the MAP for fear of damaging the PCU. Also, I'll recommend the LED bulbs, A real nice touch.
