Does any one recommend upgrading to performance injectors. Mine are fine and do not need replaced but I talked to a buddy who replaced his on his crappy Cummings and he said it made it wicked fast. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Injectors are a great upgrade as long as you've got the supporting mods and money to do it. Typically, there are a lot of things you'll do to a Powerstroke engine to gain additional power before you do injectors. Supporting mods for injectors can include: turbo, fuel system, head studs, dual HPOP, rods (depending on the year of your truck), upgraded intercooler, and maybe a hi-rev kit among other things.
like if you went with a set or dieselinnovations stage 2's your lookin 400rwhp, for it to run properly and keep the reliability
can turbo or bb turbo like a gtp38r or the turbonetics ball buster
larger intake like the tymar
4" exhaust
chip to run the injectors
plan on upgrading the tranny
a larger intercooler like the spearco would be a good idea
your truck will run on alot of the stock parts with the larger injectors but it will bring up other problems like high egt's, its gonna put alot more stress on the stock turbo and transmission.
even with the dodges the injectors maybe less money to mod and get larger ones but they still need the supporting mods to make run right like a larger pump, turbo, intercooler, transmission.....
