New tailgate prices...

Anybody know how much a factory tailgate goes for from the dealer?

I just put a hole in my 2 wk old 07'....

I was lucky and found a new take off gate in the exact same color as mine on ebay . seller was about 75 miles away, and I was the high bidder at $202.50. Needless to say I was thrilled and drove over to get it in person. A great deal.Bill

well in case anyone else is wondering.... i made a few calls today and they want $1200 - $1300 for an un-painted tailgate.

Mine got stolen and the new one painted and line x coated was $1572.

Then to beat all I dented the new one 3 weeks later

My gosh!!! $1,200 for an unpainted bumper. No wonder people steal them.

I've always wondered how much an SD would cost if it was built totally from parts purchased from Ford. Anyone care to venture a guess? My guess is $125,000

Wow, an 07'........that's rough. I don't know if there are major differences in the 05, 06 and 07's. You should try the salvage yards. Maybe there was a truck with front end damage.

The stealership price is outrageous. At least they could have given a color matched one for that price.
