I want to put on a new carb, not rebuild one. I have 188.000 miles on the engine, owned since new, I am not a mechanic..but I think I can put a carb on.
What is the recommended replacement for the stock carb. I don't need or want more hp, just replace what I have. Are some a better quality than others? What should I expect in problems? Most of my driving is city, highway & forest roads.
Thanks in advance for the help. Ken
Replace it with a Holley 600cfm vacuum secondary 4 barrel carb and 1850 comes to mind. One of the first Holley 4 barrels and still works wonderful today. That way it will be a bolt on and the least amount of hassles.
