No Power

I have a 98 F150 SC 5.4l 3.55axle with 140k km. Once in a while, more often in fall, winter and spring when I startup, drive a couple blocks, stop at the intersection, then take off into the traffic, as some the truck gets going it suddenly looses power. If I press the gas to the floor, nothing. If I let off to idle, then press on the gas it goes again, even if I floor it. There is no missing, it just feels like there is no gas or the choke is on full. If I let the truck warm up for a few minutes this will not occur. It sometimes happens after the truck has been parked for 20 min or so. Any ideas. I have had the truck for 3 years now and the problem has always been there. Sometime it not occur in the summer for weeks.

Sounds like a bad Throttle Position (TP) sensor. Is the CEL on? If so have you pulled the DTCs? Could also be a clogged fuel filter. Good luck!

The CEL light has never come on. I had the fuel filtre change once before in the last 40000 km.
