I Have A 2000 P.s. With 160k On It...took It Up North About 300 Miles And Ran Great...went To Go For A Quick Drive Into Town Then I Noticed Speedo Cable Jumping Around And Then Low Fuel Light And Seatbelt Light Came On, Truck Seemed To Idle Low And Rough. Looked Under The Hood, One Of The Battery Cables Loose, Tightened It Up And Seems O.k., But Today I Was At A Light And The Truck Died...i Flipped The Key And It Started Right Back Up With No Problem......ran O.k.
Cps?? I Had Put One In About 1 1/2 Years Ago....what Do You Guys Think??
I would revisit the battery connections, and the other end of the cables as well first.
Make sure that there is no corrosion and that all the connections are bright and shiny before reconnecting.
Well...good Question. They Are "new" About 2 Years, Both. I Replaced Both Alternators Too. New Pcm Module About 4 Months Ago. To Add To This Mess I Get The Battery Indicator Kicking On For About 2 Miles And Then Turns Off....i Checked For Voltage Output, Seems O.k...dealer Says So Too.
From What I Read It Seems Symptomatic Of The Cps Going Bad?
Just Called The Dealership...ran Down Scenerio..he Stated 9 Times Out Of 10 It Is An Oil Issue With The Injectors....he Stated To Definately
Change The Oil If It Is Due....which It Is...he Even Staed It Would Cause Truck To Stall......hmmmm?? Any Response?
