I found this 75 F100 in a local yard with a mint running "390"...It was spotless and painted...Not the original motor...Had Thunderbird Valve covers and the heads were casting # C1AE 8090A...I know this is 61....But something I hadnt noticed is it has 3 webbed external humps on the front part of the passenger side of the block....Has new headers and fresh cleaned up Old Holley $250....I was thinking of buying the heads but dont remember these humps.....406?

Reason: Details
Im searchin like crazy...The closest thing Ive found is on E Bay..... Item number: 300016994493 ... Possibly a police interceptor motor.... The webbing is viewable on the passenger side...Well gotta keep searching......
I blew the picture up as my pc background...I seems to have 2 or three bulges in the block under the cylinder...Passenger front...Ive seen similiar webbing / ribs on other PI blocks on the net...Not saying it is...But my 75 390 doesnt have the same ribs...They are about a 1/4 inch tall ... By 3 inches long by 1.5 ... Not sure why they are there...Im gonna travel tomorrow and get some casting numbers and pics...Dang it I had my camera today and didnt think anything about it...Plus I didnt want to walk back to the car for it...
Looks almost the same. This is a 1974 or thereabouts 360 block from an F-series, unmolested until I bored it .030" over. I still have to open it up and see if it has webbing inside
I was thinking it could be that....But someone put C1AE 6090A heads on it so I was hoping the block might be something special....The intake looks to be a C9...So they must have put better bolt ons on their 361CI....Should I at least buy these heads...I have 2 set of of 406 56cc and 62cc heads already....
I'm wondering if that's something that's been altered.
Well, I'm no longer wondering, I KNOW it's been altered.
By the time there was a C9 intake, the C8 heads were out for a year. While strange things happen, I think it's outside the realm of possibility that Ford would put C1 heads on a 69 or later motor.
You'd have to take it apart to see if there's anything worth anything in it. Check the stroke with the wire/dowel method. That'll tell us something fer sure. Easy to tell if it's a 360, 390 or 410/428 that way.
