Hello, I am new to this forum and I have some question that I hope some of you real world users can help with. I am currently researching my next truck purpose and I thought I had found the answer but I am as confuses now as I was before. I was thinking of a Ford F-250 or 350 full size van with the Powerstroke and then sending the van to Quadvans for a 4x4 conversion. I spoke to a party at Quadvans and he told me that the powerstroke in the passenger van is near impossible to find. He aslo said that reliabilty issues with the Powerstroke and the transmissions were a issue.
I was also told that Ford was not going to do the Superduty passenger vans with the Powerstroke for 2008. His recommendation was the V-10. He aslo said that chipping and intake and exhuast work were a waste of time and money on the V-10. He said that the differance in milage was about 3 gpm between the two. I'm sorry but i can't live with 13gpm. Thanks for any insight you can help with.
