T18 vs 435
Does anybody know the main differences between the Warner T18 and the NP435? Are they sync'ed the same? Is one of them tougher? Any thoughts on which one would be better stuffed behind a big block? If anybody has anything to differenciate these trannys, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Brian

both are strong units. you cant go wrong either way

They are both rock solid. Either transmission will likely outlast the motor you put it behind.

Both have non-syncro'd first gears. The B-W T-18 first gear is 6.32 and the NP 435 has a 6.69 first gear.
