How's it going everyone? Looking to get into a F-350. Found one at a local dealer.
It's an 01 Xtended cab, 4x4, V10, auto 90xxx miles.
Lots of aftermaket parts on it, 6-8 in lift, shocks etc. M/T wheels with 39.5x16.5 super swampers, cervinis Mach1 hood, billet grill, K+n intake and a few other items.
The truck is immaculate and it's obvious the previous owner took good care of it. Dealer is asking $17,500. I offered $15K. Would this be a good deal? According to NADA and KBB it is but I don't put much faith in those books.
Any problem areas I should look for on these? Thanks for any help/input
sounds like a great truck .., but with a lift kit and big tires it puts a lot of wear on the truck. Just take a good look at it or maybe even see if the dealer will let u take it to a mechanic to get checked out , before u buy. These are great trucks but they still need maintance....

Thanks for the reply, It seems mechanically sound, I do performance work on cars on the side, so I kinda know what to look for, I'm just not to familiar with these trucks.
I don't want to pay $15K for this and have people laugh at me LOL
If it all checks out good, 15000 is a good offer. I would'nt go much higher.... I have a 2004 f250 4x4 with 4 inch lift and 35 bfg's 28000 miles and i love it. Never had any problems ..... YET.... I bought mine new and paid way to much ...39000!!!! ouch!! These are great trucks, true work horses but just dont forget they are heavy duty trucks and they drive like it. Read some of the other posts of peoples complants of how they drive and ride thats what i find funny....If u want a cadiliac, buy a cadiliac...LOL, good luck...
In all honesty I wouldn't be ashamed to tell someone I paid dealer asking price for it. But I'm not. I think $15K for this monster is a steal,I was hoping for someone to back me up lol
This truck is bad, exactly what I'm looking for in a truck of this caliber, I don't drive to work but 8 miles round trip, the largest thing I'll ever tow is my 3500# 03 Cobra + trailer and I could careless about gas mileage.
I'm gonna close the deal Mon night. I'll post some pics later on.
If the dealer your buying it from is a Ford dealer, ask for an OASIS. You can grab the VIN and have the OASIS run if this is just a corner lot independent dealer. Any history of repairs made by Ford will be shown in the report.
