Outside Door Handles
Do I need to take off the access panel to the door in order to attach a new door handle? I see the long screw on the side of the door that secures the **** end of the door handle. I do not see how to access the screw on the other end of the handle except to go in (and up)through the access panel. Thanks.

You will also find it easier to handle (no pun intended) if you remove the spring clip holding the lock cylinder in place. The plastic retaining clips are fragile after so many years, an they break easily. It is well worth the time to remove the lock cylinder, in my opinon.
