Ok I have no clue.
I have been sworn to that its a Windsor.
I have been preached about how it was a Cleveland.
I have been harped upon about it being the M.
I have a pic I took of it from the front.
I paid 350$ for the truck.
I dont think I was ripped off.
I know the engine come out of a 76 Torino 'I think'.
to the right of the distributor as you're facing the engine, is there a 1" tall rib of metal sticking up from the block? are the 2 bolts that hold the fuel pump on up and down or across? the intake does not look wide enough for it to be an M/400. can you get a better pic of where the thermostat housing attaches, the radiator hose is in the way in that pic.

Yep... valve covers gave it right away, Windsor. Thermostat housing is also mounted to the intake and timing chain housing isn't part of the block on a Windsor.
