Tired 240 needs replacing
Greetings All,
A newbie here that needs some advice in changing from a tired 6/3 speed to a V8/auto in a 65F100LWB. The truck is used for daily transportation and potentially towing a trailer/show car. I would like to install a small block V8 but am unsure as to its towing capablility. Any suggestions on a small block/tranny replacement for me?

Umm...I'm not sure, but towing a car quite a bit you may need a few more ponies than that in a small block. Maybe go with a FE big block out the the same era truck. A 390 would be good with a C6 auto. Just a thought.
