I have a friend with a Cummings (poor friend) & he was told by a diesel tech that his diesel had solid lifters which needed periodic adjustment (approx ever 15k miles). I'm not so sure this is correct...
Do the Powerstrokes have hydrolic or solid/mechanical lifters & do they need any adjustment? I have reviewed my owners manual; which is fairly specific on maintenance needs & it says nothing about valve adjustment.
