amp behind head unit?

amp behind head unit?
While installing my new Pioneer head unit, I noticed that there is a lot of room behind and under it. Can I somehow install a small 2 channel amp under there somehow? Has anyone tried this?

I had often thought the same for my 150 too. I'm just afriad of the lack of continous air flow back there and the other devices that produce some warmth. Last thing I need is for an amp or two to go into overheat/thermal protection...
Or... I could be really particular about it and wire in a fan or two to kick in when the radio/amp is on. I already have a mess of wires relays and switches goin' on for everything else ... why not add another one...
