Hi I just bought a 2001 f350 in mint shape and I love it.It has a v10 in it.I dont know much about the beast but I sure smile when I drive it.One thing about the truck though is it has an irritating buzz around 1500-2000 rpm.My buddy has the same problem with his v10 too.I think its comming from the torque converter,is this common?I LOVE MY TRUCK!
Yep lots of info around here on the V10. Just scroll down to the V10 Forum and you'll find just about anything you can think of. Also that smile is refered to as BSEG! For a definition just do a search in the V10 forum, lol.

I was a GMC convert back in 2003. I got sick of spending time and money on a truck that was 2 years old with 40K miles on it. So I baught my current Ford Super Duty and have never regreted it. The best truck I have ever owned. You will love the V10. Hands down the best gasoline engine on the market.
The BUZZ is most likely the torque converter dust shield. Either remove it and bend it so it stops making noise or do what I did, I used some thick two sided tape and removed only one side of the backing. Never again did I hear the buzz.
Good luck with your truck and not be a stranger down in the V10 forum.
