It was 2.75 for a while in NJ then I filled up on Tuesday for 2.83. Still cheaper than gas here. You don't have to go far to get above 3.00, though. Eastern PA has much higher prices.
Ours is about mid $3's. The alaskan pipeline had a corrosion problem. What is a bit comical is they chose not to use a 'pig' on the pipes to clean them out reducing corrosion as the engineers didn't deem it necessary, but the fed's told them they had to after the recent spill...well guess what?? came to bite them and guess who pays?? Us...
And we'll keep paying until politicians stop letting activists make policy and let us drill our own oil. And while they're at it, maybe they should stop exporting the oil we do drill to other countries and keep it here. Now there's a novel idea.
Diesel In South Of Stl Is $3.09 As Of Today. A Friend Of Mine Was Told By A Man[ Whom He Attends Church With] , Who Used To Work For Exxon Mobile, That When A Refinery In The U.s. Goes Down, They [the Powers That Be], Use This As An Excuse To Raise Fuel Prices. When In Reality, 80% To 85% Of Fuel We Receive From Other Countries, Is Already Refined. Nothing Needing Done To It, But To Sell It.
Our country hasn't built new refineries in decades. Also, Bio fuels are out there and available but Fuel companies are trying to come up with excuses as to why our vehicles can't use it. Hell, if I knew how to make my own, I would sure do it! Diesel here in South Dakota is about 3.39 a gallon...and rising..
I paid $3.20 a gallon last Sunday here in north central MN. This fuel thing is a joke. I farm on the side and every time i think i'll make a little money they go and raise the fuel price. My big tractor has a 50 gallon tank. Even off road fuel here is like 2.85 a gallon and that was before it went up. I don't know what it is now. This high price of fuel impacts every thing we buy and sell. I don't know how truckers can come out on this.
Recently switched my 91' F350 to B40 from Clear Diesel. B40 goes for about 3cents below clear diesel. The truck sure runs nice on B40. Burns a lot hotter, less smoke, runs quieter. Milage with B40 is pretty much the same as regular Diesel as what I loose in BTU/Gal I gain on better combustion due to the higher Cetane number of the B40.
Also I don't need to add any lub additive with the B40 as it provides the perfect lubrication on it's own.
Seeing how well my 91 is doing I am considering switching my 93 to B40 some time soon.
