Exhaust Mani. or Headers???
Im sure this has been covered, but Im a "newbie" and I have a 85 Ford f250 4X4 with a 460 manual trans., and my exhaust mani. has a hole in it, and leakes from the gasket (or lack there of). I was wondering, should I go to the bone yard and pickup a exhaust mani., or purchase Flotech headers for it and run duels out the passanger side before the rear wheel? If headers please tell me if flotech are pretty good, or is there something better. Also how hard is the install? and Last where is the best place to purchase them from, dont have much money...

Depends on what you want and how much you want to spend I reckon. Junkyard manifold (or ebay) is the way to go if you don't need increased performance and want to get by cheaply. I'd pose the question in the 460 engine forum if I were you. There are several folks that hang out there that seem to have a lot of technical knowledge about what works (or doesn't) on 460's. Cost/benefit applies; i.e., is the expected gain worth the expense? Surely wouldn't be for me on my '83 F350 dump truck which is only driven once in a while and on short trips.
