Hello All
I'm a proud new owner of a New 2006 F-350 Fx4 SRW Reg. Cab Power stroke. I love the truck! I had an 03 F-250 5.4 . BIG DIFFERENCE! Mileage for starters. Wow!
I would like to install the tail lights that are just above the license plate (3 red lights on a bracket) Standard on DRW trucks. The mounting holes are there on the bed and I have the oem lights. But, there is no pigtail / socket in the wiring harness to plug and play for this light.
Anyone have any suggestions or a part number of the socket that I could purchase to make them work? I really don't want to butcher up the wiring too bad. And I'm trying to keep it as oem/factory looking as possible even thought it did not come factory with the lights.
just cut and solder the wire ,then use liquid sealant tape andtape over that you'll be fine.
I've done 4 trucks this way no trouble

Just FYI the factory one has a pigtail coming off a separate harness that runs across back there... I think between the fender lights IIRC.. been a while since I've messed with it. Not really a way to just add it on, althought it's possible you could buy the pigtail and splice THAT into the license plate wiring.
