Removing tail light assembly on '06?
Search seems to be broken for me right now. I need to remove the tail light assemnbly on my '02 F-250 to install a tool box. I removed the two obvious screws, but it seems there is something else holding it that I can't see. I have a stake pocket tie down, but do I need to remove it to get to another screw? Is there a reference for this kind of stuff, like removing door panels, removing headliner, pillar covers, etc? I checked the tech folder and saw the door panel listed, but that's it.
btw, has anyone ever installed a SwingBox tool box? I have the box and I like the idea, but I'm very unimpressed with installation instructions, and the company hasn't called me back yet.

That light should pull out, it will PULL out, it will not just fall out once you get the screws out. They have some kind of ribbing somewhere that holds that light in, it should pull out straigt towards the back of the truck if i recall.

Thanks! You have confirmed info I got from another source, that there are only the 2 screws, and that the light pulls straight out with a bit of effort. I will try it again this weekend. Thanks again.
