Make sure you realease the fuel pressure before taking that filter off though. I found the easiest way was to pull the fuel pump fuse while the truck is running and then let it die out on its own. You can locate that fuse via the owner's manual.

I bought the filter and it came with 2 white clips on the filter itself that is removable. I tried them to remove the old one and no go. can't figure it out at all.
Doughnut-shaped plastic wedge, split on one side so you can fit it over the tube ... slide it up into the coupling & it releases the clips inside the coupling.
