Fuse panel layout
The fuse panel is, well, gundecked, as we said in the USN. Someone wired in jumpers, there are broken clips, and worst of all, all the labeling is unreadable. For starters I need the fuse panel layout so I know what goes to what.
The local Ford dealer only has documentation back to 1980. They threw out everything older about five years ago. I have spent much time searching the Internet with no luck. I really don't want to spend the money to subscribe to one of the services for the little I would use it.
If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. If so thanks in advance for your time and trouble.
They are now very hard to find and special order at PepBoys, but, what you should consider is replacing the high load fuses with circuit breakers. When you get them from Pepboys you have to turn the "tube" part around so it fits in the fuse holder.
Being a 1976 and pretty simple, wiring harness wise, I would consider a fuse box replacement (Painless Wiring)so you can use the more modern fuses and circuit breakers.
